  This week has been crazy, as usual. Wednesday especially. Not only did I have my classes, but right after my first class at 11:00, I had to run to the Freed Center classroom to have our client meeting with Switchbox. Only to get there, and the meeting had to be cancelled, but life and work happen, I understand. Then I had to lock in to get some school work done since I have many other obligations this week. This was my opportunity to get some schoolwork done.  After I did some school work, I headed to my second class, and wouldn't you know it? I had to run back to Freed for my advising meeting after that, for my last semester classes, and important senior information. And wouldn't you know, I had to run from that to the pharmacy building for an Alpha Phi Omega executive committee meeting. Hi all!! I hope you all have had a great week.  I started this week with my dad coming up on Sunday for Kappa Alpha Theta Dudes Day. I love it when Theta gives us the opportunity to show our parents and loved ones a sneak peek into our college life. This year's dudes day consisted of a cornhole tournament and just hanging out with our dudes. My dad and I opted out of the cornhole and didn't eat at the house, and instead went to the new Route 69 brewery in Ada for a late lunch. I would recommend checking it out if you haven't already. My week has been nothing less than jam-packed per usual. My Monday had something planned every hour of the day, starting at 11 am all the way until 7:30 pm. I am so tired, actually, scratch that, I am EXHAUSTED. I know I sound dramatic, but recruitment took everything out of me. It also doesn't help that once again, I got sick at some point during this time. As mentioned several times throughout my blogging journey, I am no stranger to not feeling 100% healthy a lot of the time. I swear it's from a million combinations of potential answers, but meeting so many new people and being constantly surrounded by people, not only in class but also in the recruitment, my immune system was bound to become overwhelmed.  Besides getting sick, recruitment was so much fun! I got to meet and talk to so many amazing people throughout this recruitment season. I love the ONU Greek life community so much, and every girl I've met is so sweet.  Getting sick wasn't the only thing that went wrong for me because that's just my luck. Hey, I hope you all have had a great week! This past week has been crazy for me, as I've said the last two weeks, and it looks like it'll be that way for a little while longer. I really don't want to complain, though, since I know at this time next year I'll most likely be missing these moments that I'm currently living. That being said, my goal, as I may have mentioned previously, is to really make the most of this last year at Ohio Northern. This has included me joining three new clubs, PRSSA, Delight, and, as mentioned before, the art club. I know this probably sounds crazy, but I thrive off being busy, and my thought is, when will I ever get to be a part of any of this again, so I'm going for it.  My school update of the week is that we started our Social Media Strategies and Campaigns group project. As the fall semester starts, there are many opportunities to join new clubs and organizations, and sorority recruitment is my personal favorite.  I personally love it because to me it gets me out talking to new people and learning about others, which I wouldn't normally do. If you're not familiar with our sorority recruitment works or how it works here at ONU, I will break it down. Rush here consists of three nights of going to different houses and talking to the girls already in the sorority. The three rounds consist of Philanthropy, Sisterhood, and Preference rounds in that order. Philanthropy round is the most chill of the three formal nights; each chapter shows a video about their national philanthropy, and it's a good night to start getting to know the PNMS (Potential New Members) as they all make their way to each of the four houses, whereas the next two nights get more serious as both the PNMs and sororities drop each other and figure out where they see themselves fo...

         Greek Week. The most exhausting but fun week on campus especially for the members of Greek Life. Greek Week takes place every year on Ohio Northern's campus. It is a whole week of sports and activities for each sorority and fraternity to compete for their respective trophies and become that year's Greek life champions.   This year's schedule includes:  Monday: Greek Sing  What is Greek Sing? Greek Sing is where each fraternity and sorority has to complete a ten-minute performance with dances and lyric changes to fit ONU and Greek life.  Placed: 4th Tuesday: No Events :(   (Honors Day) Wednesday: Pandora's Box  What is Pandora's Box? Pandora's box could literally mean any event the Greek Week co-chairs can pretty much think of. Last year it was a game of Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader.     I am sure you are all feeling that past midway semester slump. With the semester so close but so far at the same time I know that I am ready for summer. I have been trying to stay focused and motivated this week but I've been finding it extra difficult.     Starting out this week on Sunday I had my day FULL of stuff for Theta. I started the day by waking around 8:30 am (which was harder than it should've been because my friends and I stayed up until 1:00 am watching the Hungar Games) to help my friend Lydia with cooking bacon and sausage links for about 100 people for a late St. Patricks Day panhellenic brunch with all four sororities. My Big and G-Big Madi and Gwen brought us Starbucks and we all got to work while listening to Taylor Swift's 1989 album of course.     It took us three hours to cook all the food we were in charge of for the brunch but we did have it ready just in time.      Ever since coming to Northern I have changed and grown so much in these past two years. In high school, it was very similar to here at ONU. I didn't get involved my freshman year my mom and intervention specialist had to beg me to join Theater. I honestly don't know why I was stubborn about it because I loved middle school theater but it made me who I am and wouldn't change joining. The theater kids quickly became my second family because I spent hours on end with these people. I went on adventures with this group of people. I honestly spent more time with my theater family than with my mom, dad, and sister Ruby. That being said while I loved this group of people and I grew so many ways with them it was good for me to get out and come to ONU where I knew nobody. This all leads to now where yes I miss it sometimes but I know my time has passed.     Being in theater I never was in a leadership role even as a senior it made me sad because I felt like...

     As I previously shared I am both a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and Alpha Phi Omega here at Ohio Northern University. This week happens to be Rush/Recruitment for both organizations. I love events like Rush where I get to meet all sorts of different people.       Starting out the week on Monday I started with a panhel meeting to get my mandatory meeting and service hour for panhel done. Straight afterwards my friend Melina who also happens to be the President of Alpha Phi Omega and I headed straight for the pharmacy building. Alpha Phi Omega has three key pillars, leadership, friendship, and service. Each rush event for APO is themed after one of the pillars. Monday's meeting was service-themed.       As a chapter and with possible new members we made pipe cleaner flowers for a local nursing home. It was harder than you might think to make these.      Once again it is another dreary week here at Ohio Northern but that's not stopping me from having a great week. If there is one thing about me I love being busy and this week is definitely that. I have several things to do this week. Starting out the week on Sunday with several hours of various assignments for the development of Kappa Alpha Theta. I really LOVE having a position in my sorority. It really has not only gotten me more involved but also helped me to better the chapter. I currently hold the position of the VP of DEI. It turns out that I like it more than I originally thought I would when I was applying to hold an executive position.     Having this position means so much to me as I worked very hard my first year to be able to have the opportunity to hold a position.
