Week 14: Crunch Time!
Welcome back to All in with Althea!
As the title says, it is indeed crunch time. With three weeks left of the semester, it's really time to lock in and get through these last few weeks. I have started to make what I would call an academic game plan to get through the final bit of this semester.
I also wanted to share a little bit about my Thanksgiving Break. It started out pretty chill for the first few days. I just hung around with my parents and Ruby (when she did come around). It really started to get hectic on Monday and Tuesday through the rest of my break even up to working an early shipment shift at 7 am on Sunday.
Some break highlights include seeing the Broadway Musical “Some Like It Hot”, the new “Wicked: For Good” movie and obviously Thanksgiving day and eating delicious food even as someone who is not a huge fan of Thanksgiving food. My meal consisted of Mac and Cheese, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes and of course homemade pumpkin pie.
My mom is a hardcore no Christmas anything before Thanksgiving which means anything from Christmas music, decor, movies and anything else. So our family tradition is typically the day after Thanksgiving we put up all of our Christmas decorations. Unfortunately these last few years neither Ruby or I have been able to help because we both have been working which especially for me as a retail worker I never get that day off anymore.
Additionally I put in some availability hours at my retail job and that was what took up the majority of my break. In total, in four days I worked 23 hours which is actually insane but the good thing is holiday shopping and working a busy day takes up the time so it flies by honestly.
I hope you are having a good week and surviving the end-of-the-semester craziness as well.
It sounds like you had a great break. My family puts the Christmas tree up after Thanksgiving day too! I really want to go see the new Wicked movie, did you like it? I hope finals go well!
