Week 1: Welcome Back To School (Senior Year Edition)

Welcome back to All In With Althea! I honestly missed being able to update this blog; it's like a visual diary, and I love being able to share my life in this way!

My first week back has been hectic to say the least!

I started out by moving in last Tuesday for Klondike's Crew to help move in the new freshmen here at ONU.
After that, I immediately got sick with a fever that night (thanks, chronic illness), but that's nothing I couldn't handle,
even though it did still suck. I then just rested up and was back to “better” by Friday. Then, throughout the rest of the
week, I was able to adjust back to campus life and get on a consistent schedule.

I then had a very busy Sunday. I first went to the Welcome Fest, where all the campus organizations and clubs attend

to recruit new members, and I helped out at the Art Club for my friend, since we are working on reviving the club.

Later Sunday night, we as a Greek community at Ohio Northern came together to hold Greekpalooza, where both

sororities and fraternities get together on the Tundra to encourage the new students to join Greek life, although I

showed up late. Let me explain for a very valid reason.

It started when I walked up to my apartment after I got out of welcome fest, and for some reason,

my door just wouldn't unlock, which had happened the first day I moved in, and I was eventually able to get the door

open, well, not this time. My roommate got back five minutes later, and I was like Can you open the door?

I was just convinced it was my issue of not getting it open. She then tried. It wasn't just me, so we called reslife.

Reslife comes to try, and they also can't open the door. So public safety comes, and then guess what, they can't even

unlock it with the campus master key. It takes public safety a while to then get a hold of a locksmith, and the locksmith was eventually able to come and open the door. The issue ended up being our apartment deadbolt,

and the lock system was broken, so the school had to fix or replace it.

After all the hecticness of that, I got back into my class schedule and got to see so many friends that I missed.

I am excited once again to continue blogging, and I cannot wait to see everyone's new blog posts!

  2. Ever since I’ve known you, Althea, you have always been so involved on campus, and I love that. Even with the chaos of move-in, getting sick and the apartment lock situation, you still found a way to be everywhere and help out. Excited to follow along with your blog this semester
