Chapter #4:

I don't know about you all but my mom and grandma have been chronicling everything about my sister Ruby and I growing up by making a Facebook post just anything about either of us would do especially when we were younger. There are probably HUNDREDS of awful Facebook photos of us between both of them.

I know that out of all my social media knowledge, Facebook is the one I know the least about. If I were to make assumptions about Facebook like most it would be stereotypically labeled as for moms or parent-aged individuals.

This is actually not the case though. Facebook is actually the most used social media and is most popular with the demographic ages 25-34. Facebook actually has more males than females. At 14% more males than females, it is something I would never have guessed.

Facebook is probably one of the more user-friendly social media platforms. It is easy to set up for the average person by just creating a username and password or signing in through Google, adding a profile picture and a bio then they should be good to go.

Facebook is also super user-friendly for businesses wanting to use Facebook for marketing. When creating a business profile there are automatic presets to add useful information to customers. From business hours to the address of the business and even a review section so potential customers can read reviews and form their opinions.

This also allows brands and businesses to establish a voice for their company. By having a voice they are able to establish their audience and grow their business or brand. Facebook each year increases brand revenues by a lot because not only does Facebook continue to rapidly grow but having a voice makes it seem more authentic.
