Week 7: A Change of Plans
While at home, I got to enjoy many things I miss about home, including a couple of home-cooked meals, time with my parents, and the comfort of my own bed.
During my trip home, I also got to see the new Taylor Swift mini-documentary. This documentary was only in movie theaters this past weekend, so when I figured out I was going home, I asked my mom to join me. The documentary ran about an hour and a half with no previews beforehand. It started by premiering her new music video to “The Fate of Ophelia" and then ran through every song on her new album “The Life of a Showgirl” with the corresponding lyric video. In between each song, there was another clip of behind-the-scenes of the new music video, and then it led into her giving a brief explanation of what each song is about.
I believe that this was such a cool and unique way to experience an album, especially from an artist as big as Taylor Swift, and I really enjoyed this documentary. I definitely think more artists should consider doing something like this because it was super cool.
As for an update on our client project with Switchbox, it has been on the slower side as we are
still working on research to provide ideas and ultimately provide our concept of our first task of creating the company’s headshots and short team biographies to our contact at Switchbox. I think that our ideas are finally starting to form and take shape about our group's vision for Switchbox.
School and life have still been crazy, and I'm just going to be prepared for the rest of this semester to be like that for me. I am definitely going to take full advantage of this fall break and enjoy the break from all the craziness.
I am so glad you were able to go home last weekend and take a well-deserved break from school to spend time with your family! It sounded like you had a great time with your mom at theater; it sounds like a wonderful experience.
